Nice open beach. Must pay for parking but if you have a State Park Pass it will work here. Beach parking gate opens at 8am. Good facilities restrooms and coin(quarters) operated hot showers. Easy walk from car to water. Fairly shallow site good kelp and grass areas. Camping is nice and close to the water if you get a reservation. Picnic Tables and BBQ's available.
About 19 miles (north, west) of Santa Barbara on the 101 Hwy. Nice easy drive along the coast. Exit at Refugio.
