Aquanautics Dive recommends that you get an orientation for any site you have not been to before. It will make your experience safer and more enjoyable. Some sites have specific logistical characteristics involving facilities, rules, parking, entry and exit techniques. As well as different bottom topography, sea life, water conditions, and hazards.
ADI recommends you do some research as well. Some great reference materials are the book Southern California Best Beach Dives by Dale and Kim Sheckler. As well as California Dive News, both are available at Aquanautics Dive.
If you would like to arrange a Discover Local Diving trip with an experienced dive professional at ADI just give us a call or send us an email. Shore diving is of course subject to schedule availability, skill level of participants, weather and ocean conditions. Fees for Disover Local Diving excursions do not include parking, transportation, or rental equipment. Prior to diving we must have copies of certification, dive insurance, and liability waivers must be submitted.
